Photo special to the Town Crier
Austintown elected officials recently treated Penn National representatives to a day at the Canfield Fair. President of Penn National Gaming, Timothy Wilmott and Vice President, Eric Shippers, enjoyed sausage sandwiches and Poor Man Carmel Apples during their visit and were impressed by the size of the fair. The Canfield Fair is the largest county fair in the state of Ohio. Wilmott and Shippers made a stop to view Austintown Township's booth in the Government Building, which welcomed Penn National with a banner and balloons and stopped to view the racetrack and grandstands at the fair as well. The evening ended with a stop at Austintown's Quaker Steak and Lube where everyone in the party took the Atomic Wing Challenge. Pictured are Austintown Trustee Lisa Oles, Rick Leonard from U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan's office, Austintown Trustee David Ditzler, Shippers; Wilmott; and Austintown Trustee Jim Davis.
