Members of the Junior Rose Queen of Ireland, Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians Division 6 from Mahoning County, were recently named national first place winners in a scrapbooking competition that ended at the AOH-LAOH National Convention in Verona, N.Y., last month.
In addition to the 2012 first place win, the Juniors also won first place in 2010 and finished second in 2008.
The prize was accepted by LAOH Mahoning County President Amy May on behalf of the Juniors who designed, selected and planned categories and completed the scrapbook.

The Junior Scrapbook committee included President Rachel Kepley along with Juniors Mary Kate Kelty, Christine Kerrigan, Isabel Stoeber, Erin Loomis, Brianna and Ashley Thompson, Kristen Eckman, Alexis Jacobs and Audra Pesko. Scrapbook design assistance was provided by Connie Thompson.
The Juniors have been invited to the September LAOH meeting to display the scrapbook.
The Juniors' scrapbook followed the LAOH procedure including a dedication page, articles of religious activities, Catholic action, mission and charities activities, promotion of Irish history, community involvement, social activities and national correspondence.
