The second annual senior citizen art show was held at the Davis Family YMCA on Sunday, June 24. More than 70 artists from nine area assisted living and specialty care centers' painting clubs participated in the event. Guests of honor were the more than 90 club nonagenarians, who learned to paint in their nineties.
Guests enjoyed refreshments and perused the exhibit while Tamra Lucas and Chris Hughes entertained with songs. Denise DeBartolo York, Theresa Hickson, Rebecca Bavuso, Alice Bort, and Elizabeth Gray donated funds so prizes could be given. Donna Galey of The Manor in Austintown, won Best of Show for her painting, "Birds & Berries."
