The Poland Historical Society has announced that the Little Red Schoolhouse museum will be open from 1 to 3 p.m. on the second Sunday of each month during the summer. The schoolhouse is located at 4515 Center Road at the Struthers Road intersection in Poland Township.
The society's officers and trustees will be available to answer questions and guide visitors during the summer hours. Visitors can also browse through the vintage books, photos, and the many items dating back to the 19th century that are displayed throughout the one-room schoolhouse.
The first summer open house was held June 10 with many Poland residents enjoying their visit to the past. The schoolhouse will again be open to the public on July 8 and Aug. 12. Arrangements can also be made for private tours by calling 330-536-6877 to schedule an appointment.
