Teen is state finalist in pageant

Courtney Frommelt, daughter of Mickey and Jill Frommelt of Boardman, has been chosen as a state finalist in the National American Miss Ohio Pageant to held July 29 and 30 in Columbus.

The 14-year-old recently graduated from St. Charles School and will attend Cardinal Mooney High School. She is active in cheerleading and volleyball, and enjoys spending time with her friends.

The winner of the pageant will receive a $1,000 cash award, the official crown and banner and air transportation to compete in the national pageant at Disneyland in California.

According to The National American Miss pageants, they are dedicated to celebrating America's greatness and encouraging its future leaders. Each year, the pageant awards thousands in scholarships and prizes to recognize and assist in the development of young women nationwide.
