At American Legion Post 15 in Poland, two war heroes were honored on Memorial Day for their valor service in the military. Leo H. Connelly Jr. of Boardman, who was inducted into the Ohio Military Hall Of Fame in 2011. He was awarded 22 medals, of which 12 were for saving lives, and served on 250 missions between 1967 and '68. Anthony Tisler, a Campbell resident, was also inducted into the Ohio Military Hall Of Fame.
