On a freezing Sunday, April 22, Boardman Black won the North Ridgeville Early Bird baseball tournament. The 12-year-old traveling team went undefeated in four games, beating North Olmsted in the seventh inning when a long shot by Dominic Pecchia earned him a triple. Bryan Kordupel batted next, earning a walk. Dominic Stilliana's blast to the outfield and fielding errors brought both boys across the plate for 5-4 win. The team includes, in front, Pecchia, Michael Melewski, Sean Buck, and Stilliana. In the middle row are Jarod Wilson, Bobby Toth, Noah Falleti, Michael Cunningham, and Kordupel. In back, from left, are coaches Ted Melewski, Tony Stilliana, Joe Cunningham and Jeff Wilson.
