MCCTC students advance to state SkillsUSA competition

Ten Mahoning County Career and Technical Center students will advance to the state SkillsUSA Competition after competing in various categories at the regional competition and earning high scores.

Students advancing are:

Kris Chamberlain of Jackson Milton, Second Place Automotive Refinishing Technology

Jamal Davis of Boardman, Bronze Medal Job Skill Interview

Cody Dixon of Boardman, Third Place Criminal Justice

Jackson Joseph of Austintown, Silver Medal Aviation Maintenance Skills

Aliza Kendeigh of Austintown, Bronze Medal Aviation Maintenance Skills

Stephen Prest of South Range, First place Precision Machining

Taylor Steiner of Boardman, Silver Medal Graphic Communications

Garrett Tanner of Canfield, Gold Medal Aviation Maintenance Skills

Kara Peck of Western Reserve and Dylan Erdel and Mark Stewart (both of South Range), Third Place Crime Scene Investigation Team

The SkillsUSA Ohio State Championships will be held April 27 and 28 in Columbus.
