Birds of a feather spotted at North Elementary

April 26, 2012

Yes, the certain signs of spring abound on the grounds of Poland's North Elementary School, where robins chirp, daffodils bloom, and flamingos perch graceful in the grass.

The flamingos, a popular Relay for Life fundraising event throughout North Elementary neighborhoods, are making their first appearance at the very school where staff members "Blackbird" and "Sunflower," spend their days, and at night sneak about the unsuspecting yards of Team North donors bringing excitement and building momentum as Poland Relay for Life nears.

Consisting of students, parents, and staff members, to date North Elementary School's Team North has raised more than $20,000 for the American Cancer Society.
