BGMS track wins first meet

Glenwood Middle School's boys and girls track teams opened their season March 28 with wins against Howland. The boys, coached by Eric Diefenderfer and Scott Lenhart, won 70-31; and the girls team, coached by Dave Nypaver and Lauren Susany, won 44.5-44.

Individual winners for the boys include:

100 meter hurdles: A.J. Pantaleo, first place; Tyler Dempsey, second; Nick Cessna, third

100 meter dash: Devin Curd, second place

1600 meter run: Matt Perham, second

400 meter dash: Dylan Ball, first

800 meter run: Matt Perham, first

200 meter hurdles: A.J. Pantaleo, first place; Nick Cessna, second

200 meter dash: Tim Captain, first

4x100 relay: Mike Mitchum, Tyler Dempsey, Mike Parise and Dylan Ball, first place

4x200 relay: Drew Wagner, Mike Parise, Tim Captain, Tyler Dempsey, first place

4x400 relay: Dylan Ball, Drew Wagner, Tim Captain, Mike Vidman, first place

Discus: Devin Curd, first; Greg Beule, second, Cole Pollak, third

Long jump: Alec Zizzo, first; Drew Wagner, second

High jump: Alec Zizzo, first

For the girls team, winners include:

100 meter hurdles: Caitlyn Conner, second place

100 meter dash: Arianna Cuevas, second place

1600 meter run: Elly Larrier, first place

800 meter run: Elly Larrier, first place

200 meter hurdles: Katie Platt, third place

4x100 meter relay: Lauren Pavlansky, Caitlyn Conner, Logan Mitchell, Arianna Cuevas, first place

4x200 meter relay: Katie Platt, Caitlyn Conner, Krista Johnson, Arianna Cuevas, first place

4x400 meter relay: Logan Mitchell, Elly Larrier, Krista Johnson, Katie Platt, first place

Shot put: Bailey Brandt, first place
