Misty Alcorn of Austintown, has been named to the Dean's list at Shawnee State University in Portsmouth, for the fall 2011 semester. To be named on the list, students must be full time and achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or better.
Marietta College's Alina Kielbasa '15 of Austintown, received The Carl L. Broughton Scholarship during Marietta College's annual Spring Convocation on March 25. Kielbasa, a graduate of Austintown Fitch High School, is majoring in international leadership and communication.
