Junior high choir gets excellent ratings

Every member of the Poland Seminary High School choirs who entered the District V Junior High Solo & Ensemble competition held recently at Struthers High School , received a I, superior rating, the highest possible score on their solo and/or ensemble for a total of 26 superior ratings.

The Poland Freshmen Vocal Chamber Ensemble members who received a I rating on their performance of "The Wind" were Amber Capan, Anna Cartwright, Ashlyn Carzoo, Madison Christie, Cody Compton, Stephanie Hammons, Aubrie Morrison, Samantha Nicholas, Bryanna Pecchia, Destiny Rischpater, Seth Salvatore and Joe Weetman.

The Poland Freshmen Girls Ensemble members who received a I rating on their performance of "The Clouds" were Amber Capan, Anna Cartwright, Ashlyn Carzoo, Madison Christie, Stephanie Hammons, Aubrie Morrison, Bryanna Pecchia and Destiny Rischpater.

Seventh- and eight-grade choir members who received a II or excellent rating on their ensemble included, in front row: Cailey Barnhart, Marina Mediati, Raeanne Raseta, Caitlyn Compton and Baileigh Black. In back row are: Jessica Weetman, Justis Rolland, Shelley Leonard, Kara Detoro, and Toni Carbon.

Freshmen soloists who received a I rating on their vocal solo were Anna Cartwright, Ashlyn Carzoo, Stephanie Hammons, Samantha Nicholas and Aubrie Morrison.

Seventh- and eight-grade choir members who received a II or excellent rating on their ensemble included Cailey Barnhart, Baileigh Black, Toni Carbon, Caitlyn Compton, Kara Detoro, Shelley Leonard, Marina Mediati, Raeanne Raseta, Justis Rolland and Jessica Weetman. The choirs are under the direction of Dr. Chuck Szabo.
