The seventh annual Honors Breakfast sponsored by Boardman High School Parent Teacher Student Association and the school administration was held Monday, March 5 in the cafeteria.
A total of 478 students were invited to attend the breakfast, which celebrates students achieving at least a 3.5 GPA for the first semester of this school year. This allowed students who may have struggled earlier in their high school career to focus and be recognized for their hard work this year.
The menu consisted of pancakes, hash browns, and sausages. They were served by Principal Tim Saxton, and assistant principals Jared Cardillo and Dave Kornbau. Also assisting were PTSA volunteers and officers, President Kathy Holman, historian Joyce Reid, Secretary Colleen Kelleck, corresponding secretary Betsy Slater, and Treasurer Gail Demetruk.

Currently, 14 seniors have a 4.0 GPA and will graduate as valedictorians. These students were given an opportunity to share with the students attending the breakfast. Some gave advice. Some shared thoughts and feelings of what the high school experience meant to them. Others had inspiring quotes to share with their peers.
