Poland band rates high at OMEA event

Forty-one members of the Poland Seminary High School band participated in the Ohio Music Education Association Solo and Ensemble Adjudicated Event on Feb. 11 at South Range High School.

The students participated in 29 solos and 11 small ensemble performances, each one rated by a judge. Out of the 40 events, 26 received a rating of "Superior," 11 "Excellent," and three "Fair." The participants were: Abby Begezda, Madeline Crish, Allison Kowal, Marisha Partika, Amy Noll, Ann Riddle, Michael Toppi, Angelisa Melnek, Myranda D'Apolito, Anthony Suszczynski, Natalie Rivello, Austin Vogel, Natalie Triveri, Ben Haylett, Paul Alberty, Casey Kantaras, Rachel Jeswald, Claudia Gage, Rebecca Dangerfield, David Lankitus, Ross Hill, Devin Beaumier, Ryan Mrofchak, Emily Auth, Sam Finocchio, Emily Moon, Sarah Comstock, Gabrielle Vargo, Spencer Oslin, James Weetman, Stephanie Brink, Julianna Patrick, Theodora Constantine, Julie Mortellaro, Tierra Brown, Karlie Kowal, Tyler Conti, Katie Auth, Tyler Ford, Katie Becherer, and Vince DeChellis.
