Local promoted in library position

Pamela R. Daubenspeck of Austintown, has been named manager of the Reference Department at the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library, 444 Mahoning Ave. NW in Warren.

Daubenspeck joined the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library in 1984 as a reference librarian. Her subsequent positions have included Reference Department supervisor and, most recently, the manager of branch services.

She earned a master of library science and a bachelor of arts in political science from Kent State University. She is a member of the American Library Association and the Ohio Library Council.

Daubenspeck

In her new position, Daubenspeck is responsible for planning and implementing services and programs for the Reference Department at the main library; coordinating the selection of adult books, periodicals, and media for the main library; selecting databases for the system; and providing reference and reader guidance service to customers. Daubenspeck will also supervise the Local History & Genealogy Center at the main library.

Daubenspeck succeeds Micky Burnsworth, who retired as reference manager after 30 years with the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library.
