Ringling Bros. and Barnum Bailey will once again help stock the shelves of Second Harvest Food Bank of Mahoning Valley from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 3. Ringling Bros. is offering people in the tri-county area an opportunity to donate canned goods in exchange for a ticket to see one of the eight performances of Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey presents "Dragons" when it comes to the Covelli Centre from March 30 through April 2.
Every individual who brings 10 cans of non-perishable food to the donation event at Covelli Centre on March 3 will receive one free ticket voucher for any of the nine performances. There will be a limit of two ticket vouchers per family and a limit of 400 total vouchers that will be given.
"Last year, we collected 5,057 pounds of food at this event and we'd love to increase that number this year," said Michael Iberis, executive director, Second Harvest Food Bank. "The Food Bank distributes approximately 40,000 pounds of food each day and feeds more than 13,000 people in the tri-county area every week, so we depend on and are truly thankful for partnerships like this to help us fulfill our mission."
"Ringling Bros. is happy to support Second Harvest in its mission to provide food to people in need in Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull counties," said Bethany Masters, manager of marketing and sales with Feld Entertainment, the producer of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Baile
