Putting their hearts into the game

With their most recent involvement, Canfield Village Middle School students are participating in Hoops for Heart, which, according to its website, was created by the American Heart Association as a program through which students learn basketball skills, learn about heart health, and all the while, raise donations that will help kids with special hearts.

Student Council representatives involved, under the direction of Student Council Advisor Patty Machingo, in the Hoops for Heart endeavor at Canfield Village Middle School include Zach Bernat, seventh grade; Amanda Petro, sixth grade; Isabella Audia, fifth grade; and Marcella Adams, eighth grade.
