Twirler wins regional honors

Monica Mattiussi, a sophomore at Cardinal Mooney High School and featured twirler, recently attended the Marching Auxiliaries Regional Competition at Westerville Central High School near Columbus. For the second consecutive year, Mattiussi earned first place and superior ratings in her division. She has been a member of the Northern Strut Twirling team since 2005, and she trains under the direction if Janet Gbur, founder and director of NSTT. Monica is the daughter of Dr. Richard and Mrs. Lisa Mattiussi.
