During Catholic Schools Week, the students of St. Joseph Immaculate Heart of Mary School participated in a day of Mission Awareness. A group of volunteers led by Fr. Edward Brienz, of the Diocese of Youngstown, taught students about their work as missionaries in Africa, India, and Central and South America. Students moved through four stations set up throughout the school where they learned about the need for clean drinking water, schools and resources in other parts of the world.
