Lacey Schmitt and Michael Barahona, both of Cranberry Township, Pa., were married on Sept. 30, 2011 in Canyonside Courtyard at Starved Rock State Park in Utica, Ill. Officiating the ceremony was the Rev. Duane Kaufman. Guitarist was Michael LeRette, cousin of the bride. A reception followed at Deer Park Country Club in Ogelsby, Ill.
The bride wore an ivory tafetta side-draped gown with a strapless bodice featuring beaded lace and a corset back without a train. She carried a clutch-style bouquet of roses, including ivory and leonadis accepted with hypericum berries.
Matron of honor was Shelly (Vissering) Huseman, friend of the couple. Bridesmaids were Melanie LeRette, cousin of the bride; Melissa Barahona, sister of the groom; Jackie Castillo, Gina (Giudici) Brace, Jenni (Stukenburg) Hernandez and Anchal Karkera, all friends of the couple. The all wore a satin empire ballgown in apple red with a chiffon halter strap and a matching chiffon shrug. They carried smaller clutch-style bouquets with leonidas and ivory roses accented with hypericum berries. Jacqueline LeRette, cousin of the bride, served as a flower girl.

Best man was Mark Barahona, brother of the groom. Groomsmen included Erik Schmitt, brother of the bride; Ben Scheppman, Adam Roman, Brett Fidrawm, David Heberling, Dave Brace, Kendrick Thomas and Frankie Martin, all friends of the couple. Aden Mehle, nephew of the groom, and Samuel LeRette, cousin of the bride, were ring bearers.
The news Mrs. Barahona is the daughter of Robert and Joan Schmitt, both of Streator, Ill. She is a 2000 graduate of Streator Township High School and attended Rockford College. She graduated from Purdue University with a bachelor's degree in veterinary technology and works as a licensed veterinary technician at a small animal hospital in Pittsburgh.
The groom is the son of Marilyn Vuletich of Youngstown and Miguel Barahona of Miami. He is a 2000 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School and a graduate of Rockford College with a bachelor's degree in sports management. He is currently working on his master's degree in sports exercise psychology and works as an admissions representative for South University.
Following a honeymoon in Riviera Maya, the couple resides in Cranberry Township, Pa.
