Fitch twins show dual leadership skills

February 2, 2012
Special to the Town Crier

Jaclynn and Amanda Choma of Austintown Fitch High School have been chosen to represent Austintown at the Rotary Youth Leadership Award conference at the Avalon Inn in late February for three days. They will meet and associate with other juniors from northeast Ohio, totaling 88 students and presenters. The twins will be pretty much separate as a way to meet the maximum amount of new people.

Both girls are involved in cross country, golf, track, and French Club. Both say they would like to backpack across Europe after graduation, and are involved in the Interact Club at Fitch as well as Junior ACRY at St. Nicholas Church in Warren.

Amanda, the junior class secretary, is planning a career in math or accounting, while Jaclynn, junior class treasurer and band member, is more inclined to engineering. The Rotary Club of Austintown provided full financial support for the three-day event, an annual project.
