Mildred greatly enjoyed her life as a homemaker, where she loved sewing, knitting, gardening and entertaining. She also worked as an Avon representative for many years. She served as head of the Hospitality Committee at the Evangel Baptist Church, where she was a longtime member. Mildred was also an active member of the Christian Women's Club of Boardman and various other women's groups, where she was a good friend to many. She was a beautiful example of a Christian wife, mother and grandmother. Among the many gifts to her family were her great devotion and countless hours shared with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, William; her brothers, Paul and Gerald Emch; her sister, Ruth Jardine; and her great-grandson Cian Bell.

She is survived by her children, Barbara Chichak, Richard (Jeri) Bell, Joanne (Kenneth) Ahlquist and David (Teresa) Bell; plus 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held in her honor Jan. 21 at Old North Church in Canfield.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Heartland Christian School, 28 Pittsburgh St., Columbiana, OH 44408.

Arrangements are being handled by the Davis-Becker Funeral Home.
