On Jan. 21, the Canfield swim team competed in a dual meet at Youngstown State University. The girls' team took the win 109-74 and the boys tore up the pool with a 130-36 win over Massilon Jackson.
Taking first place finishes for the girls were: in the 200-yard Medley Relay, the team of Sarah Heaven, Olivia Williamson, Mallory Allen, and Briana O'Malley; 200-yard Free, Leslie Davis; 200-yard Individual Medley, Williamson; 100-yard Fly, Allen; 100-yard Free, Heaven; 500-yard Free, Allen; 200-yard Free Relay, team of O'Malley, Davis, Jamie Wellham, and Williamson; 100-yard Backstroke, Heaven; 100-yard Breaststroke, Williamson; and 400-yard Freestyle Relay, team of Allen, Davis, Wellham, and Heaven. The girls are now 7-2 on the season.
In boys action, taking first place finishes were: 200-yard Medley Relay, team of Adam Weiss, Jake Smith, Connor Brady, and Michael DiDomenico; 200-yard Free, Daniel Bogen; 200-yard Individual Medley, Kyle Anderson; 50-yard Free, Mark Dalvin; 100-yard Fly, Brady; 100-yard Free, Bogen; 500-yard Free, Drew Bennett; 200-yard Free Relay, team of Brady, Bogen, Nicky Montalto, and Dalvin; 100-yard Backstroke, Brady; 100-yard Breaststroke, Jake Smith; and 400-yard Free Relay, team of Bogen, DiDomenico, Dalvin, and Montalto. The boys improved their record to 9-0 after the win.
