A Hawaiian honeymoon trip followed the July 16 wedding of John Toomey and his bride, the former Erin Elizabeth Meister, both of New York City.
The Rev. Ingo Dutzmann officiated at the 5:30 p.m. ceremony at the Millennium Bostonian Hotel in Boston, where a reception was held in the couple's honor at 7 p.m.
Parents of the bride are Thomas and Ann Meister of Poland. Bernie and Cathy Toomey of Dover, N.H., are the parents of the groom.

The bride wore a fitted A-line Maggie Sottero couture gown of diamond white satin featuring a corset closure, sweetheart neckline and a hint of beading, topped by a single-layer trimmed veil. She carried a bouquet of white calla lilies and white roses.
Serving as matron of honor for the bride was her sister, Kristin Meister of New York, N.Y. The bridesmaids included Holly Ling of Henderson, Nevada; Jennifer Pavelko of Cincinnati; Samantha Pavelko of San Francisco; Emilie Ridge of Ben Avon, Pa.; Monica Simko of Largo, Fla.; and Sara Walling of New York, N.Y. Each wore a black satin cocktail-length dress with an electric-blue sash and carried a bouquet of white hydrangeas.
Carrying out the duties of best man was the groom's brother, James Toomey of Clarksville, Tenn. The groomsmen included Tim Boyle of Sarasota, Fla.; Ian Flynn of Portsmouth, N.H.; Adam Gutowski of Honolulu; Jeff Nolin of Dover, N.H. Steve Puglisi of Charlotte, N.C.; and Jake Schwartz of San Francisco.
A 2001 graduate of Poland Seminary High School, the new Mrs. Toomey earned a bachelor's degree in early childhood education from Ohio University in Athens. She is employed as a kindergarten teacher at the Bronx Charter School for the Arts in Bronx, N.Y., while pursuing a graduate degree in childhood literacy at Hunter College in New York, N.Y.
Mr. Toomey is a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving eight years as a Special Forces medic, including two tours in Iraq. He is a full-time student at Columbia University in New York, N.Y.
They have made their home in New York City.
