* Joseph and Nancy Turjanica of Canfield are proud to announce the graduation of their son, Dr. Michael Turjanica, from Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida. He was awarded his doctor of chiropractic degree on Dec. 16. He is a 2003 graduate of Canfield High School and a 2008 graduate of Youngstown State University, where he also played baseball. Dr. Turjanica will begin a position in January with Chiropractic and Physical Therapy Centers of Ohio in Grove City.

* Margaret Watt of Canfield has been named to the fall 2011 Dean's High Honors List at Marietta College. Any full-time student completing at least 15 credit hours with a GPA of 3.75 or better in a given semester is recognized as a Dean's High Honors List student for that semester. Watt, a graduate of Canfield High School, is majoring in biochemistry at Marietta.

* Alexandra McClurg of Canfield, a senior at Thiel College in Greenville, Pa., received the Class of 1950 Scholarship at the 2011 Thiel College Honors Convocation on Friday, Nov. 4.
