* Traci Morse of Austintown received a master of education degree, majoring in educational administration, from Ashland University at its winter commencement ceremony on Dec. 17 in Ashland.
* Alina Kielbasa of Austintown, an international leadership and communication studies major, was named to the fall 2011 dean's list at Marietta College. Any full-time Marietta College student completing at least 15 credit hours with a GPA of 3.50 to 3.749 in a given semester is recognized as a dean's list student for that semester.
* David Gregory Greene of Austintown has earned an associate in science degree in nursing from Excelsior College in Albany, N.Y.
* Stephanie Sfara has been named to the fall 2011 dean's list at Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, Ga. Sfara is a rehabilitation sciences major from Youngstown. In order to make the dean's list, students must be enrolled in at least nine semester hours of course work and earn a GPA of at least 3.6.
* Clare Rech of Austintown, a junior at Thiel College in Greenville, Pa., received a Dean's Scholarship at the 2011 Thiel College Honors Convocation on Friday, Nov. 4.
