The Town Crier
A memorial Mass was offered Wednesday at St. Michael’s Church in Canfield for Terry M. Dunn, who passed away Dec. 9 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center Boardman Campus.

Terry was born July 3, 1935 in Cleveland, a son of the late Robert and Irene (Balstad) Dunn.

A U.S. Army Reservist serving in the medical corps, Terry attended Miami University and graduated from Case Western Reserve with a bachelor’s degree. He moved to the Youngstown area from Cleveland, pursuing a career in advertising, sales and marketing. He had worked for Youngstown Sheet and Tube, Ira Thomas & Associates, G.F., Youngstown Litho and City Printing.

A member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Terry served on the Catholic Charities Board. His creativity could be seen in his love for art and the pride he took in his relationship with the Butler Art Museum, as well as playing the piano. He also enjoyed playing golf, having been a member of Tippecanoe County Club.

These interests paled in comparison to his immense love of family and the loyalty he quietly displayed throughout his life. Terry will be sadly missed by his wife, the former Sheila Parks, with whom he celebrated 50 years of marriage this past June 10; their four daughters, Julie (Scott) Sittig, Karen (Tom) Donadee, Suzy (Nick) Manos and Katie (Bill) Haas, all of Canfield; eight grandchildren, Nick and Alex Manos, Scott and Sarah Sittig, Tommy and Jake Donadee, and Ashleigh and Jessica Haas; and one brother, Timothy (Eileen) Dunn of Rocky River. Besides his parents, Terry is preceded in death by a son, Michael Dunn.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley, 962 Martin Luther King Blvd., Youngstown, OH 44510.
