It’s Christmastime, and who better to stir excitement, make an entrance, and work a crowd than the jolly man dressed in red? After making his list, and checking it twice, Santa made the trek to Austintown’s Wickliffe Circle Fire Station. Arriving on the Austintown Fire Department’s ladder truck 157, he greeted some of the area’s biggest fans.
This was ol’ Kris Kringle’s 26th year celebrating with community members at the station, according to Joyce Pogany, chairman of the Wickliffe Circle Christmas Committee, who offered thanks to the many individuals who give so generously of their time and donations to make the event a continuing success.

Visiting the event with her mom, Stacey Bortmas, Woodside Elementary School student Ariana Bortmas was happy for the chance to let Santa, accompanied by two of his trusty elves, know what was most important on her list -- Leap Frog, and a stuffed pony.

He may not be a full year old yet, but in his festive red vest, dress shoes, and “light-up-a-room” smile, little Cameron Prusky awaited the arrival of the man of the hour with his mom Valerie Prusky. Young Cameron seems to already know how to charm St. Nick.
While the outside temps were frightful, the end result... delightful! Following Santa’s arrival, crowds moved indoors to await their turn greeting, and eventually sitting atop his lap as he turned his ear their way.
