What better way to spend a day than sharing in what your grandchild is learning in school. C.H. Campbell second-grade student Nathan Bins reads “I Am Thankful For…” to his grandfather Charles Stevens, who visited the school in celebration of the school’s annual Grandparent’s Day.
Andy Rooney once said, “Elephants and grandchildren never forget.” It’s certain the second grade students of C.H. Campbell will never forget the many grandmas and grandpas who took the time to pay a recent visit to the school, where they visited classrooms, joined their grandchildren for lunch, and were treated to a singing celebration in honor of Grandparent’s Day. On Friday, Nov. 11, the second-grade class of Karen Pavlov spent the day visiting with their grandchildren in celebration of C.H. Campbell Elementary School’s annual Grandparent’s Day. Pictured is Pavlov’s class as they entertained their grandparents with a montage of songs ranging from the patriotic, in honor of Veteran’s Day, to Louis Armstrong’s “What a Wonderful World.”
Not only did Taylor Zwieryznski’s grandparents, Tina and Bruce Scarpacci visit C.H. Campbell Elementary School for Grandparent’s Day, they traveled from North Canton to be there for the special event.
C.H. Campbell student Konnor Faire had no problem capturing the attention of his look-alike grandma, Davene Mangie, as he shared what his class is currently working on.
