The Canfield's girls soccer team (9-8-3) defeated Cardinal Mooney (14-3-1) by a score of 1-0 on Oct. 29 at Canfield in an OHSAA DII District championship match. CHS junior Hannah Day headed the ball in off a corner kick for the game's only score early in the second half. The win sent the Cardinal girls into the regional semifinals on Wednesday against the Walsh Jesuit-Ritchfield Revere winner. Pictured are the girls with their District medals.
