CHS senior runners honored at conference meet

Nine high school seniors were honored prior to the recent All American Conference meet at the Canfield Fairgrounds. Coaches said each one has been a part of leading the team over the past few years.

Kaitlyn Dastoli, daughter of Dave and Kim Dastoli, has been a member of the program for six years. In addition to lettering in cross country, Kaitlyn is also a member of NHS and Leo's Club. She also volunteers her time at Angels for Animals. She plans to attend the University of Findlay and major in Animal Science with a focus on pre-veterinary medicine.

Katie Hunter, daughter of Scott and Sue Hunter, has been a member of the program for three years. In addition to lettering in cross country, Katie is a member of Y-teens, Student Council and the track team. She plans to study nursing in college.

Jon Hutnyan, son of Dave and Sue Hutnyan, has been a member of the program for four years. In addition to lettering for three years, Jon also has lettered in track and soccer for three years and is part of the 4x800 school record team. He plans to major in business and run track in college.

Brooke Lemmo, daughter of Gary Lemmo and Debbie Chizmar, has been a member of the program for two years. In addition to lettering in cross country, she is a member of the track team, Key Club, Young Leaders and participates in art shows. Brooke plans to further her education in college.

Marla Marucci, daughter of Mark and Lisa Marucci, has been part of the program for six years. In addition to being a three-year letter winner in cross country and track, she is also a member of Student Council. She plans to attend Arizona State University.

Kelly Rantilla, daughter of Dave and Barb Rantilla, has been a member of the program for six years. In addition to lettering she is also a member of NHS, drama club, Academic Challenge and is a two-time state qualifier on the speech and debate team. She plans to attend college and pursue a degree in law.

Lindsay Tapia, daughter of Robert and Rachel Tapia, has been a member of the program for six years. In addition to lettering in cross country, she is also a member of the track team. She plans to further her education in college.

Nick Tocicki, son of Joe and Michele Tocicki, has been a member of the program for five years. In addition to being a three-year letterman in cross country and track, he is also a member of the Key Club and Leo's Club. He plans to attend Akron, Kent or Princeton and major in computer engineering.

Kathryn Zetts, daughter of Mark and Lisa Zetts, has been a member of the program for six years. In addition to being a three-year letterman in cross country and swimming, she has participated in Student Council and art shows. She plans to attend college and study occupational therapy.
