Miss Pamela Walko of Canfield and Dr. Zachary Veres of Champion were united in marriage on June 11 during their 1:30 p.m. nuptials at St. Columba Cathedral in Youngstown. The Rev. John E. Keehner and Rev. John Temple officiated at the ceremony, which was followed by a reception at the Avalon Golf and Country Club at Buhl Park in Sharon, Pa.

Following a honeymoon in the Turks and Caicos islands, the couple has made their home in Howland.

The bride wore a strapless white satin A-line gown with corset closure. It featured crossover pleating throughout the bodice, which wrapped the waist, setting off a left hip detail with a radiant Swarovski crystal and pearl motif.

Her attendants, in floor-length champagne chiffon gowns, were her cousin, Jill Ulbricht, as maid of honor, and Jennifer Houser, Maria Palazzo, Crissy Antal, Katelyn Esposito and Julie Walko as bridesmaids. Her new nieces, Adeline Judson, Meredith Judson and Ava Hiland, were the flower girls.

Best man for the groom was his cousin, Brady Tesner, and the groomsmen were Shawnn Wilson, Nathan Mailach, Steve Winans, Dr. Vincent Marino and Nick Walko. Ushers were brothers-in-law Ward Judson and Mark Hiland. Cousins of the bride Cody Ulbricht and Cade Ulbricht, and nephew of the groom Bryce Judson, served as ring bearers.

The bride, daughter of Thomas E. Walko of Findlay and Barbara Walko of Canfield, is a nurse in the post-anesthesia care unit at the Surgical Hospital at Southwoods in Boardman. She holds a bachelor of science in nursing from Youngstown State University and a master of science in nursing from Kent State University.

The groom, son of Dr. and Mrs. Frank and Tricia Veres of Champion, is associated with his father in a family medicine private practice in Warren. He is a graduate of Youngstown State University and the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine at A.T. Still University in Kirksville, Mo. He completed a family practice residency at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.
