The recipients were presented the award after successfully completing all requirements, the culminating activity being the Down Syndrome Association of the Valley's annual Buddy Walk, where they handed out balloons and temporary tattoos and helped with cookie delivery, games and clean-up.
According to information provided by Denise Joseph, troop leader, the girls completed the Sign of the Sun, two Girl Scout leadership badges, and a service project, which included research, discussion and activities related to Down Syndrome.
