The event is an annual fundraiser for The Federation’s scholarships. A senior majoring in education at Youngstown State University was the 2010 winner, and she plans to stay in the area.
Following the luncheon, there will be a style show from local merchants and music will be by Youngstown's Jack Ciarniello and Jim McClellan, with guest vocalis Amanda Beagle, Miss Ohio 2004 and Talent Award winner in the 2005 Miss America pageant.

The General Federation of Women's Clubs is an international organization founded in 1868, dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service. The Youngstown Federation of Women's Clubs was established in 1906, headed by Mrs. Warren P. Williamson.
Barbara Higgins is serving as chairwoman for the event and her co-chairs are Valorie Zurawick (Scholarship Committee chair) and Lee Bowden. Members of the committee are Debra Kostelic (YAFWC president), Rusti Puromaki (YAFWC vice president), Suzanne Brown, Cathy Campana, Linda Crish, Yvonne Ford, and Patty Higgins.
