Groubert and Fowler wed at St. Columba’s

Brianna Groubert and Justin Fowler exchanged marriage vows Aug 5 at St. Columba Cathedral in Youngstown. The Rev. John Keehner officiated at the 3 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception held in the couple’s honor at The Georgetown in Boardman.

Brian and Lesley Groubert of Boardman are the parents of the bride, and the groom is the son of Joyce Fowler of Newton Falls.

The new Mrs. Fowler earned a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind.

Mr. Fowler graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Grove City College and a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, Mich. He is employed as a field follow engineer at Caterpillar in West Lafayette, Ind.

The bride wore an A-line gown featuring a tiered bust and Alencon lace bodice, and accented with lace at the hem. Her maid of honor was Emily Groubert, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids included Catherine Groubert, sister of the bride, Lydia Saniski, cousin of the bride, and Renae Davis and Evelyn Schramm, friends of the bride. They wore purple dresses.

Travis Fowler, brother of the groom, carried out the duties of best man. The groomsmen included Matt Weil, Bob Rummel, Matt Kulinski and Nick Bjelac, all friends of the groom. The usher was Anthony Colla, cousin of the bride.

Ellia Colla, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl. The ring bearer was Vinnie Colla, also a cousin of the bride.

Following a wedding trip to the Greek Islands, they have made their home in West Lafayette, Ind.
