Bulldog golfers advance to state

The Poland Lady Bulldog Golf Team advances to the State Divsion II Championships for the fourth year in a Row. The girls Captured the Northeast District golf title on Tuesday afternoon at the Hills & Dales Course in Canton Ohio with JFK of Warren as Runner-up and Hawken as the third qualifier from the North east District.

Scoring for Poland were Maria Mancini with a 78; Giana DiBenedetto with an 83; Rachel Sines at 88; and Melinda Hannon rounding things out with an 89.

The Lady Bulldog golf team went to districts after winning the sectional tournament on Sept. 28 setting a school scoring record by shooting a 315. Scoring for the Bulldogs was tournament medalist Mancini with a 69 that set a individual tournament record. Other scorers for Poland where DiBenedetto with 73, Sines at 85 and Hannon with an 88.
