Spartans crown queen, clobber Hoover

Boardman senior Dayne Hammond reaches high to dwarf a Canton Hoover defender as he catches the ball and gains yardage for the Spartans in their Sept. 30 Homecoming game. Hammond and his team outlasted the Vikings, winning 14-6.

Boardman student Gianna Marinucci is all smiles as she is crowned 2011 Homecoming queen at Friday night’s home game against North Canton Hoover. The Spartan rose to the occassion by bringing in a 14-6 win for their new queen.
