The Town Crier
Memorial services were held on Sept. 24 at Tabernacle Evangelical Church for Edmund “Jim” Harsney, who passed away Sept. 19. The son of the late Edmund Frances and Elva (Slagle) Harsney, he was born in Youngstown on March 26, 1952.

A graduate of Austintown Fitch High School, he worked as a clerk for the United States Post Office until his retirement in 1996. He attended Tabernacle Evangelical Church and was an avid Civil War enthusiast who had a great love for his family.

Jim will be greatly missed by two sisters, Judy (Roy) Brown and Barb Soltis, both of Austintown. He is also survived by two nieces and two nephews, as well as four great-nieces and two great-nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made in Jim’s name to Angels for Animals, 4750 W. South Range Road, Canfield, OH 44406.
