Cards down Falcons, 2-1, in soccer

A little over a minute left to go before halftime and freshman Frank Phillips takes the ball past a fallen goalie into the net as the Cardinals beat Austintown, 2-1. Phillips got an assist from Tom Yankush.

Canfield’s Joe Dunkin goes airborne trying to hit the ball against Austintown, Sept. 22. The varsity Cards won 2-1 and the JV team tied Fitch at 2-2.

Senior and captain Tony ElHayek hits the ball towards the goal in the first half as Canfield enjoyed knocking off undefeated Austintown last Thursday 2-1. ElHayek scored the Cardinals’ second goal that won the game.
