St. Charles cheerleaders, coaches and parents will be working at That's A Wrap Cafe in the Boardman Plaza from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday to raise money for the ZTA Pink Ribbon Cheer Classic, which donates proceeds to breast cancer awareness causes.
The cheerleaders will be earning a $1 for every pepperoni roll sold, $2 for every 12-inch pizza and $3 for every 14-inch pizza, as well as a percentage of additional food items sold. There is also a "new" Pink Ribbon Pepperoni Roll Tray for $11.99, which feeds six to eight people. Limited quantities are available. They will also be selling numerous non-food items with the proceeds also going to the Pink Ribbon Cheer Classic as well as a raffle that day for a free pizza a week for one year.
The National Breast Cancer Foundation estimates that each year more than 200,000 new cases of breast cancer will be diagnosed and more than 40,000 patients will die from the disease.
