* Travis John Kneen, a senior majoring in physics, astronomy and history at the University of Rochester, has been named to the dean's list for academic achievement in the spring 2011 semester. Kneen, a resident of Canfield, is the son of Dr. Timothy and Linda Kneen, and a graduate of Canfield High School.

* Nicholas Popovich, a music education major at Westminster College, will present his senior voice recital Sunday, Sept. 18, at 2:30 p.m. in Wallace Memorial Chapel in New Wilmington, Pa. Popovich, a baritone, will perform selections by Cavalli, Bach, Gounod, Puccini, Weil and more. He has been involved in Titan Marching Band, Wind Ensemble, Men’s Chorus, Concert Choir, and Opera Workshop, is treasurer of Mu Phi Epsilon music honor fraternity, vice president of American Choral Directors Association, president of Theta Chi fraternity, and a member of Pennsylvania Collegiate Music Educators Association, Inter-Fraternity Council, Who’s Who among American Universities and Colleges, Omicron Delta Kappa national leadership honor society, and Pi Sigma Pi honor society. Popovich is a son of Joseph and Gina Popovich of Canfield, and a graduate of Canfield High School.

* John S. Pitzulo recently received his Bachelor of Science degree in physiology of exercise from Ohio University. He is the son of Sam and Janet Pitzulo of Canfield and a 2007 graduate of Canfield High School. He will continue his education at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, Fla., this fall.
