Schmitt and Barahona plan for Sept. 30 wedding

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Schmitt of Streator, Ill., are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Lacey Anne Schmitt, to Michael Angelo Barahona, son of Marilyn Vuletich of Austintown and Miguel A. Barahona of Miami, Fla.

The bride-to-be graduated from Purdue University in Indiana with a bachelor’s degree in veterinary technology. The prospective groom holds a bachelor’s degree in sports management from Rockford College in Illinois.

The couple will be married at Starved Rock State Park in Utica, Ill., on Sept. 30. A reception will follow at the Deer Park Country Club.
