Boardman Schools forge ahead

September 15, 2011
The Town Crier
Dear Members of the Boardman Community (Residents, Students, Faculty and Staff),

The Boardman Schools Board of Education and I would like to welcome everyone to the 2011-2012 school year. Over the last several months, the Board of Education, administration and staff have worked together to prepare for this school year. Many essential changes were planned in a collaborative manner for this year in order to remain on the leading edge in education. We ask that you support our efforts as these changes are implemented over the next weeks and months.

Achieving five consecutive excellent district report cards is unprecedented in the Boardman Schools. As successful as we have been, we will never rest on past accomplishments and are already planning for continued future success. Boardman’s teachers and school leaders want to work collaboratively and openly with the community at large to generate new ideas and innovative solutions that work for everyone.

We believe in our teachers and the work they do every day to prepare our students for the future. To help us become an even better school system we invite the entire community to become more involved in the district. We urge you to attend school events, participate in Board of Education meetings, volunteer for the PTA and to communicate your ideas with teachers, staff, administrators and Board of Education members. Presently, we are doing good things on behalf of the community and are getting great results. Together, working as partners, we will build an even stronger school system. Thank you.

The Boardman Board of Education

and Superintendent Frank Lazzeri
