Amanda’s Angels won the championship in the Pigtail division of the Mill Creek Jr. Baseball league with 20-4 record to win their third straight championship. Team members are (kneeling) Faith Marsico, Kaeleigh Patton, Nya Thornton, Ashlyn Burke, Mikayla Gmitter and Khaylah Brown, and (standing) Allison Dillon, Lauren Markovich, Kari Montella, Rachel Listorti, Samantha Patrone, Kara Potkonicky, Aurora Anzevino and Jasmine Pierce. They are coached by (from left) Frank Nardella, Karen Montella, manager Gina Yakimoff and J.R. Pierce. Coach Korrie Brown is not pictured.
Amandas Angels play and honor the memory of Amanda Ferraro, a 16-year-old Austintown Fitch student who died in 2004. She played many summers at Kramer Fields, where she excelled in both the slow- and fast-pitch divisions. She continues to inspire players today.
