Jay and Caraballo united in marriage July 2

Samantha Jay, daughter of Leo and Rosie Jay of Boardman, and Anthony J. Caraballo, son of the late Elvis and Jill Caraballo, exchanged wedding vows at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Youngstown at 2 p.m. July 2. The Rev. Edward Noga officiated at the ceremony, and a reception was held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Hall, also in Youngstown, from 7 to 11 p.m.

The bride wore a stunning Oleg Cassini A-line gown in modern ivory satin, with twisted strap details, ruched waistline and a V-neckline front and back. It had a chapel-length train with a long bow trailing.

The maid of honor was Erica Beil, cousin of the bride. The bridesmaids were Breanna Jay, sister of the bride, Stephanie Jay, sister-in-law of the bride, Ariana Caraballo, sister of the groom, Caitlin Beil, cousin of the bride, and Marla Davis and Holly Holt, friends of the bride. They wore knee-length black dresses, each in their own style and carried brightly-colored summer flowers. Junior bridesmaids Lexi Caraballo, sister of the groom, and Abby Hughes, cousin of the bride, wore black and white knee-length dresses. The flower girl was Jessica Hughes, who wore a white dress with a black sash tied in the back.

The best man was Ben Cervone, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Michael Caraballo, brother of the groom, Steve Eisenstatt, brother-in-law of the bride, Eric Jay, brother of the bride, and Andy Schumaker, Matt Delahaunty and Robbie Conricote, friends of the groom. The junior groomsman was Nicholas Caraballo, brother of the groom.

The new Mrs. Caraballo is a graduate of Youngstown State University with a bachelor of science in nursing. Mr. Caraballo is currently attending Northeastern Ohio University College of Pharmacy. The couple resides in Austintown.
