Aug. 7

5:59 a.m. - A pair of theft from auto reports were taken in the parking lot of Super 8 Motel, 5280 Seventy-Six Drive.

6:22 a.m. - Criminal damaging auto was reported from the parking lot of the Economy Inn, 1051 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

9:35 a.m. - Theft from auto was reported at the station.

10:55 a.m. - Attempted theft from auto was reported from a carport at 1824 Paisley St.

1:18 p.m. - Menacing was reported from a Rebecca Drive residence.

7:33 p.m. - A drug overdose was reported from a North Kimberly Avenue apartment. The victim was taken by ambulance to St. Elizabeth Hospital.

9:02 p.m. - Theft was reported after merchandise was shoplifted from Walgreen’s, 40 N. Meridian Road.

9:47 p.m. - Criminal damaging auto was reported from a Claridge Drive residence.

10:04 p.m. - Assault was reported following an incident at a Laurie Drive apartment.

11:41 p.m. - Burglary was reported from an Ayrshire Drive residence.

11:43 p.m. - Attempted suicide was reported from a Fountain Square Drive apartment following a phone tip. The victim was taken by ambulance to St. Elizabeth Hospital.



Aug. 8

5:46 a.m. - Theft from auto was reported from the parking lot of the Sleep Inn, 5555 Interstate Blvd.

7:30 a.m. - Theft from auto was reported from the parking lot of the Fairfield Inn, 801 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

9:58 a.m. - Identity theft was reported at the station.

10:52 a.m. - Theft from auto was reported from a Mahoning Avenue residence.

11:05 a.m. - Theft from auto was reported from the parking lot of the Hampton Inn, 880 N. Niles-Canfield Road.

11:22 a.m. - Theft was reported from a North Edgehill Avenue residence.

11:30 a.m. - A missing person report was taken at the station.

12:05 p.m. - Criminal mischief was reported from a Westminster Avenue residence.

2:22 p.m. - An unidentified man, 26, of Niles, was arrested for theft, disorderly conduct and possession of criminal tools following a shoplifting incident at Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

4:58 p.m. - Aggravated menacing was reported from a Cumberland Drive residence.

6:27 p.m. - Theft was reported after an employee’s cell phone was stolen at Wendy’s, 27 S. Raccoon Road.

11:27 p.m. - Joel E. Forde, 34, 24 E. Evergreen Ave., Youngstown, was arrested for theft following a shoplifting incident at Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

11:28 p.m. - Criminal damaging auto was reported from the parking lot of the Sleep Inn, 5555 Interstate Blvd.

7:13 a.m. - Breaking and entering was reported from Smoker Friendly, 1643 S. Raccoon Road.

7:32 a.m. - Criminal damaging was reported from a Countryside Drive residence.

9:06 a.m. - Fraud was reported at the station.

9:55 a.m. - Theft was reported from a Bryant Drive residence.

10:05 a.m. - Criminal mischief was reported from the foyer of 1030 Compass West.

11:50 a.m. - Criminal damaging was reported from a Lynhaven Road residence.

8:18 p.m. - Theft was reported from a Marcia Drive residence.



Aug. 10

2:25 a.m. - Attempted theft from auto was reported from a North Edgehill Avenue residence.

3:12 a.m. - Domestic violence was reported following an incident at a South Raccoon Road apartment.

6:23 a.m. - Attempted theft from auto was reported from a Staatz Drive residence.

10:54 a.m. - Jennifer A. Phillips, 44, 140 N. Navarre Ave., was arrested at her residence on a failure to appear warrant from Mahoning County Court #4.

9:00 p.m. - Menacing was reported following an incident at a Fountain Square Drive apartment.

9:24 p.m. - Violation of a protection order was reported following an incident at McDonald’s, 1709 S. Raccoon Road.

11:32 p.m. - Attempted suicide was reported from a Westchester Drive apartment following a Help Hotline tip. The victim was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance.



Aug. 11

3:22 a.m. - Telecommunications harassment was reported from an Ohltown Road residence.

12:34 p.m. - Domestic violence was reported from a Pembrook Road apartment.

12:36 p.m. - Theft was reported after a customer’s cell phone was stolen at Sears Hardware, 6009 Mahoning Ave.

12:53 p.m. - Attempted auto theft was reported from a carport at 4561 Rhode Island Drive.

3:12 p.m. - Theft was reported following a shoplifting incident at Payless Shoes, 6000 Mahoning Ave. Charges of theft and child endangering are pending.

3:18 p.m. - Theft was reported after merchandise was rented and not returned to Family Video, 4385 Kirk Road.
