Canfield boys golf team defeated Beaver Local over the weekend at Beaver Creek Meadows Golf Course. Scott McMurray shot a 35, Dom Carano a 36, and Zachary Eckert and Chris Wilkins both shot a 37 to bring in the win 145-179. The Canfield guys are now 2-0 for the season and in the AAC.
• Efforts are under way to prepare for this Saturday's Steak-Fry "Meet-The-Team(s)" from noon to 6 p.m. The event is hosted by the Gridiron Club at the Canfield High School and in Cardinal stadium.
