Neighborhood knows how to have fun

Hosting its ninth annual “Rock the Block” party, residents of Boardman’s Fredricksburg Drive spent time catching up with neighbors, entertaining the children, and joining together for a celebration that has become somewhat a thing of the past.

With plans for next year's 10th anniversary already under way, there’s no telling what these cul-de-sac cohorts will be up to next year.

How do you spell fun? Fredricksburg! The younger members of Fredricksburg Drive joined their “more experienced” family members for the neighborhood’s recent 9th annual “Rock the Block” party.

Good food, good neighbors, great times ... especially for the kids. Hopefully they’ll carry on the tradition of a good old-fashioned block party when they’re all grown up.

What’s a little rain when you have balloon friends and cupcakes? Juliana Purnell and Hayley Green made the most of a brief shower cooling off under a colorful umbrella.
