Stephen DiPaolo, son of Louis and Teresa DiPaolo of Boardman received his Eagle Scout Award at a Court of Honor held at St. Charles Church on Aug. 6.

Stephen has been a member of the Western Reserve Council of Boy Scouts of America, Troop 60 at Westminister Presbyterian Church since 2004 with Scoutmaster Byron Harnishfeger. He was a member of Pack 114 for six years, earning Cub Scouting’s highest honor, the Arrow of Light.

His leadership experience includes patrol leader, librarian, scribe, and chaplain aide. He has earned 22 merit badges and his awards include seven-year service star, fifth-year Pipestone at 7 Ranges Scout Camp, The Den Chief Service Award, and the Sourdough Award.

His Eagle Scout project was to plan and organize to renovate the athletic equipment room at St. Charles School. The project included painting the walls, tearing out the old carpet, installing moulding and new carpet, and assembling and installing storage cabinets. The renovation helped organize uniforms and athletic equipment allowing St. Charles to reduce their costs.

Stephen graduated this year from Cardinal Mooney High School where he was a member of the speech and debate team, the tennis team, the marching band, Christian Service club, and the theatre department. Stephen also participated in the National Federation of Music clubs earning his 60 point cup in piano solos. Stephen will be attending the Dana School of Music at Youngstown State University in the fall. He is also a member of St. Charles Parish.
