* Anthony T. Calcagni, a senior at Waynesburg University in Waynesburg, Pa., has been named to the Dean's List for the spring term 2011. A graduate of Boardman High School, Calcagni is pursuing a bachelor of science in business administration degree in business management. The dean's list recognizes students who are enrolled full-time with a load of 12 hours or more in graded courses and achieve a semester grade point average of at least 3.5 on a four-point scale.

* Courtney Burgess of Boardman received her clinical white coat, signifying the transition from classroom learning to the clinical phase of their physician assistant studies graduate education, during the second annual White Coat Ceremony at the University of Mount Union in Alliance.

* Kevin M. Thompson of Boardman received his bachelor’s degree from Muskingum University during its commencement exercises, held May 7 on the campus in New Concord.

* Mark D'Apolito of Boardman, a criminal justice major at the University of Toledo, was named to the spring 2011 President's List, which recognizes full-time undergraduate students who earn a 4.0 GPA for the semester.

* Lanny Cortez of Boardman graduated from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis., with a doctor of dental surgery degree in dentistry. Cortez was one of nearly than 2,400 undergraduate and graduate students who received their diplomas May 22 at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee.

* Bernard Mauser of Boardman graduated from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis., with a doctor of philosophy degree. Mauser was one of nearly than 2,400 undergraduate and graduate students who received their diplomas May 22 at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee.

* Mark Cramer recently graduated from Otterbein University in Westerville, earning a bachelor of arts degree majoring in sports management with a minor in business administration. He is the son of Todd and Lisa Smith of Poland, and Randy and Vicky Cramer of Boardman. A 2007 Poland High School graduate, Cramer is interning with the National Hockey League offices in New York, N.Y.
